Code 11 is a linear (1D) barcode format designed primarily for encoding numeric data (0–9) and the dash (-) character. It is commonly used in telecommunications and labeling systems that require simple numeric encoding.
Code 11 supports a very limited character set:
- Numbers (0–9)
- Dash (-)
This makes it ideal for structured numeric data but not for general text encoding.
Code 11 barcodes are typically used in:
